looks like a fine play with you getting lucky on the river. he was definitely up to some fancy slowplay gone wrong, with the exception of AA.

i think he hit a set on the flop. i am curious what he had.

He had AA.

When I had lost this pot I was surprised because I thought I had it. I wasn't initially upset with my play at all. Upon further reflection I wondered if my turn check was bad, if I should have lead out again and folded to a raise. At this point I think that it probably wouldn't have mattered against this player in this hand because he probably would have just called and I would have played my hand aggressively on the river.

But I question my turn play in this situation. I'd like to hear from others, particularly those that would normally lead out on the turn given the preflop and flop play.

Would most players who play AA this way preflop and on the flop raise the turn hitting their set when bet into or not?
