Dont try and defend your blind with a call, and with the blinds only at 25/50, you dont have to put your neck out defending them.

1.___
Ok so first is the issue of me calling, I thought 1:4, well, I proly have a %25 shot at winning. I realize that it is different than seeing it to the river automatically however I do not understand how I figure out(tangibly) if it is +EV or not considering I will only see 3/5 of it initially.
AK vs q7 = I have about 1:3. Yeah I lose when QK usually, I know, how do I quantify this risk though to something that is useful? It's a borderline call for me, usually I would probably fold, but why should I, by the numbers.

2.
_______
On to turn, I made top pair, didn't want him to push me around, so I raised to 150 in case he is waiting for k or a. Perhaps considering the flush possibility the best move off of the turn would of been a fold? It is just that it's only like 1:19 aprox times that he has 2 diamonds, so I thought a raise was appropriate.

3.
_______
Upon his reraise that would be a move that could denote a flush.
Quite rarely, it could be a move that is him wanting me to think he has a lock. I think this is usually too clever for this level especially.
In any case, I have 250 in, have 250 left, and it's a 1:7 call to me. If this scenario breaks down 7 times, will I be best off once?

I know what I did is against most of the advice that people here(very intelligent) would dispense, I am just stubborn like needing to know exactly why what I did was bad. Thanks for the help.

I do not think you have the stack to call the minraise from the sb. If you put him on a steal, push. If you do not then I suggest folding.

On the flop, I would bet behind the check, and I push the turn since I am so committed.
