Ace Rag in the SB

I'd like some of your thoughts on how to play ace rag unsuited in the SB in an unraised pot (beginning with when to complete and when not to). Historically I tend to run into trouble when I flop an ace, and lately have opted for a check/call, check/call, bet line, though I really don't care for it in multiway pots.

What adjustments do you make based on how loose/tight or passive/aggressive a game is with this hand?

I would generally only play ace-rag in a very tight game (maybe only one other caller before me). against a lot of opponents this hand sucks and into the muck it goes.
