I'm guessing you've been to the Shaumburg location. I'll have to check it out next time I'm home.

The one in Schaumburg pales in comparision to the one in San Diego.

Then again, I can only imagine how good the Hawaii/Seattle locations are.

Ajitaro Sushi in Richmond BC, Canada.

I'm sure there are better, but that's my favourite one at the moment.

Churrascarias kick ass. Those Brazilians can cook up some amazing meat. Find one in your area.

Master Grill. All you can eat MEAT. Any kind of meat you can think of they serve it. I love meat and this place is basically a meat lover's place. They have chicken, beef, rabbit, lamb, etc...

The name "Golden Corral" sounds like a deviant sexual practice involving a circle of cowboys peeing on somebody.

Changs is better, as is todai. I'm not sure there's a 'best' for this though.

I've never been to either but I don't doubt that they're all very similar. I just felt like name dropping to get the 425 crowd involved. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

lol /images/graemlins/smile.gif. Todai is a lot different actually, i just threw it in since it's the most expensive buffet in seattle. Chang's is mongolian like Kohana but they bring rice and better pancakes than kohana has to your table. I think their hot and sour soup is a bit better too, as is their meat selection. Kohana is still a good way to have something different than the usual for lunch though /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Anyone ever been to "Paul Bunyons" somewhere in WI?

I went as a kid once on a trip and they didnt even have menus. They just had these women dressed up in a 1800's stylee pile all kinds of meat and potatoes on the table until you told them to stop. I enjoyed it.

The one near me is completely awful. A few years ago, it was probably the best of the buffet-style family resturaunts in the area but has completely gone to [censored] since then.

Dude we're going to disagree a ton in this thread /images/graemlins/smile.gif. The crab pot, while having a cool little idea for their different pots of seafood you can order and have spread all over your table, is fairly tasteless. I've eaten there three times and never really been impressed with the quality or flavor of their food.

The only think I didn't like about their spread was the strange orange powder that they put on the potatoes, and I don't really like having to dig for the meat of the shrimp.

I've been to two of these - one in SJ, one in SD. The one in SD was much better. (I don't recall who posted the pronunciation, but it's "toe die".

Best AYCE place I've been to recently is Hot Pot City in Milpitas.

Bueno Aires Grill in Seattle is awsome.
They bring you a little grill piled up with meat, and when you eat it all... THEY BRING YOU ANOTHER ONE.

Someone died at the Golden Corral near me from food poisoning or salmonella, not sure which one. Best buffet I've ever had was Hemingway's in Springfield, Missouri.
