Live 1/2 NL. UTG limps, 2nd position raises to 10, 2 callers. I raise to 40 in SB with KK. BB cold calls, everyone else folds. Flop comes 773r. BB had 53 left, so I push. BB calls.

What hand do you think BB had?

Given that he was almost broke before the hand, I'd say A 7 .

Why you post this? This happens to all of us almost every day. He had a 7? Q3 for a full house on river? You lost with the best hand preflop/on the flop and got sucked out. Just go "rebuy please!!" and go on with your A game and
n E v E R e V e r tilt

Good luck!

Why would you push on this flop?

Because there was 115 in the pot, my opponent had 53 left, I had a pretty nice overpair, I didn't want to give a free card, and I had to call if my opponent pushed.

I'm really disappointed no one guessed it. I thought the answer was obvious. My opponent had 72s.

You can't get upset over a bad beat like that. I said "nice call."

The original early position raiser said he had AQs and was going to call, but, when the BB called, he figured he might be up against two big hands.

To the nasty responders, lighten up. I put a "low content, bad beat" warning.
