Villian is loose passive. Just wondering, do I check-call the river, check-fold, bet-call, or bet-fold? Notice all the spades. I planned on check-calling.

Dealt to Hero [ Qh ]
Hero: Raise ($2)
Villian : Call ($2)
Button: Fold
SB: Fold

*** FLOP *** : [ Qs 3c As ]

Villian : Call ($1)

*** TURN *** : [ Qs 3c As ] [ 2s ]

Villian : Call ($2)

*** RIVER *** : [ Qs 3c As 2s ] [ 7s ]

That would be my line too, so I would like to know if I am wrong as well.

that's OK. you'll often see a baby flush checked behind if he's very passive.

Since the villain is passive, then the times you call his bet you are going to be beat, because he will possibly check baby flushes through on the river.

However, you can exploit his passivity by betting - he'll call with an ace, any worse 2 pair, and a surprising # of times he'll call with something even worse. You can safely fold to a raise because he's so passive.

So, by checking, you win 0 when ahead because he checks through, and lose 1 when behind.

By betting, you win 1 when ahead, and lose 1 when behind. This is a clear value bet.
