English expression..

just means you were unlucky, the one pocket pair he would of called your pre-flop raise with would be 8's, because of sod's law /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good bet on the flop. Good blocking type bet on the turn so that you can hopefully price yourself in to see a river. Gotta call that raise. River I think is a check/fold to anything much bigger. If he has an 8 I think he would push harder hoping you'd try to play the board.

Did he have a flopped set that he tried to slowplay?
