UTG with a high pocket pair; I go for the limp-raise. The table's lively enough that I'm expecting to be able to make it three. It didn't work.

Turn: (5 BB) Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Short Stack checks, Pokey checks.

I glance over and notice villain has exactly 2 BBs left in his rack. Rather than bet and risk scaring him away, I check behind to indicate weakness and hope to induce a bet on the river.

Short Stack bets, Pokey raises, Short Stack calls $4 (All-In).

I like it, although I don't think he'll fold this hand anywhere.

Bet the turn. Short stacks are usually happy to get all in. He might be on a draw in which case he won't be happy to get in on the river when he misses. Also you don't let him draw for free this way. Short stacks = donks = calling.

Considering SS is in the SB, I don't think you need to lrr here. If he's steaming, he's going to call the raise anyways. But its not awful, just not a play I make often. I really like the rest of the hand though. Your read was clearly spot on and I'll take my chances he doesn't river some freak flush.

I dont like your pre-flop plan to limp-raise. Other than that looks good.
