Button in this hand has been around for about 20 hands or so and is looking like a pretty bad LAG. He won one pot calling a $22 all in from a really horrible player with J4d on a 4s Ad 9d flop (pot was like 3 dollars). He ended up full with 9's and 4s but would have won it anyway as the better had nothing. He wasn't around long enough to know how bad this guy was from just this session though.

MP: This is his first hand, bought in for 25.

Whats your plan pre-flop here?

With just the crazy button maniac raising preflop, I'd probably just jam.. If not pushing then I'd put in a big reraise. With unknown MP making the initial raise, I'd probably just call and see how he reacts to idiot's large reraise. If he reraises the maniac you can dump it and be pretty certain that you were way behind. If he calls then you can take a look at the flop and proceed from there.

Easy call.
Then see the flop and try to decide. Pray for a Q!
Without anything on MP it is hard to put him on a hand but maybe KQ or AKs.
Button looks like a high PP and I wouldn't like to raise here as I prefer not to be all-in pre-flop with Queens.

Well I'm definetly not folding that's for sure. MP made a pretty weak raise after a limper and then got re-raised what I believe is most likely a bad LAG player. I was curious if anyone thought a third raise to isolate the LAG would be a good play here.

I went for just calling and ended up with an over pair + OESD on a really draw heavy board. On to the next part.

I'd check-raise a nice amount.

Open push? Or check/raise all in?

Since I see virtually no way he's not going to bet and a small chance he'll fold.. I prefer a check-raise all in to an open push.

either push or fold. just because he is lag and not too good of a player dont put it past him to have aa or kk, even the worst players can pick up this hand sometimes. i look at qq the same way i look at jj. i dont really want to see a flop with them because i have to fold to a large bet with an over card out there with preflop raises. push and try to pick it up preflop and if no aa or kk the worst spot you can be in is 50-50 against ak. take a shot against this lag. id be more woried about the MP in front of you then i would be of the button. also you have to act first on the flop. god forbid the flop comes out 8 high and you push only to get called by 88 who would have been out of the hand had you reraised. thats why i think its all in or fold

I really don't like pushing here as I don't think I'll get a call from many hands that I want a call with, If I am raising it is to 12ish (followed by a push on any non flow without A or K). I think I am most likely ahead here and pushing is just the scared way to play it. Although he didn't appear to be very good I hadn't seen anything super crazy from the button. MAYBE (but slim) I could get a coin flip from AK from the button and maybe JJ, anything worse is stretching it . In general these players don't play as bad as people at foxwoods pre-flop.

Anyway on the flop I thought I might have a tiny bit of fold equity so I went for the check-raise push. I think in general this is not a bad move but feel free to try and convince me otherwise. This time I ran into two hands that I had 0 fold equity against.
