This absolutely blows my mind, given your vehement oppostion to recent US foreign policy.

I liked Colin Powell too (wise man) until he became a puppet. I think Condoleeza has more balls. As secretary of state you will soon discover that US recent foreign policy is a failure (did you see how discomfortly Powell looked towards the end) and I guess she has the guts too speak out about this to GWB.

Due to one journalist here she has influenced the following changes:
-In conversations with Israel's leaders in February she made it clear that they to a much larger extent must pay notice to the Palestinian's rights and problems.
-Bush emphasized that a future Palestinian state must have a geographic continuity, making the establishing of jewish settlements more difficult.
-US moving from a stick policy to a stick and carrot policy towards Iran's nuclear weapon program, thus getting closer to the European view.

Is he right?

This is interesting to hear, since it is believed among some conservatives in the U.S. (myself included) that Condi is better because she and Bush are on the same page. It is clear that Powell and Bush were not.

Pocketful of money belly full of wine

I’ll never hurt you I’ll treat you right
Oh Condaleeza won’t you come out tonight

Tenet, Bremer and Franks all got Presidential medals for failing in Iraq. Condi got a promotion.

I like Arnolds policies and style, but it seems he has failed at implementing any of them. So much for taking down the special interests.

McCain is a nice guy.

Er, um, who else.....Lincoln. I dunno, can't think of others. Politicians really get in the way of politics. It's too bad government has to be run by people.

What I'm trying to say is I think ideas have a lot more merit then politicians. For instance, smaller government is an idea. Bush is a politician. He claims he will lower taxes and spending. But he only did the former.

There are a lot of great policies I like and very few politicians that I think will carry them out. For instance I think we need SS reform. But there isn't a single politician I can think of that will do it properly. And when I vote, I don't get to vote for ideas I vote for politicians.

Is it just me or does Condeleeza Rice's facial expressions remind anyone else of a little puppy dog.
