supposed to be 2 versions, 1 with hard drive and backwards compatibility and one without. both are supposed to have a modest amount of flash memory for save games. controllers may be wireless, will probably have wifi built-in for networking as well.

the launch date is this year. nintendo is not expected to display the gamecube successor.

the more expensive xbox is also supposed to have webtv (wireless keyboard/mouse maybe?). all xbox2 games have to support hdtv as well.

you are going to see a period where all new 3 consoles for each company will be revealed all in 1 week of e3. Should be fun.

the only system i've ever got close to the release date is sega genesis. i've always said i'll get one of these next gen systems when they come out.

what looks to be the frontrunner?

that was an incorrect rumor. nintendo stated on friday i think that they WILL be showing something.

Whatever it is will surely follow in typical Nintendo-tradition of lacking in fanfare and leaving showgoers disappointed and unimpressed.

Man those must be hard to get. I bet going to e3 is great, except for the long waiting in lines.

This would be my sole reason to go to e3

Supposedly. At first they guaranteed it. Then they said there was no way it was happening. Then they said they were working on it. I hadn't heard this new rumor, but who knows.

There are booth babes everywhere. Maybe if I get a new digital camera before E3 I'll make it a quest to get my pic taken with as many of them as possible.
