My question is can i raise this? then hope (or not hope) to get one caller and do a continuation bet on the flop.

It seems like calling here isnt worth playing for set value with only 2-4 people in the pot and me holding likely the best hand. i figure having lots of chips i can accomidate for the variance in this play working.

Limp in, your not playing exactly for set value since there are many flops that are safe flops for 99. If you really have no confidence in playing post flop without a set then fold PF.
