I would just check the river and fold to any decent bet, if he bets less then half the pot I would probably call just to get some information about how he plays draws, two pairs, his limping standards from early position etc. If I knew this guy is loose I would have raised preflop.

i like making a bet and folding to the huge raise just as you did, i think if u check this, too many times you are going to be checking the best hand and they will check right behind you, bet this river for value and fold if the villian shows huge strength on the river.

I dont really see what hands this other guy could have that he would play in this manner that doesn't beat you, wouldn't he protect top pair with a raise on the flop or at least raise the turn, if he has trip tens wouldn't he raise the turn?

This is so passive that it makes me want to throw up

I like your river play as well

it might be passive, and I would value bet against a very passive opponent that plays top pair like this. Against a solid player I can't really see what hand that would call a river bet, that had not shown at least some strength in the hand before the river.

I think you played it fine. He was on a draw too (unless he's just a calling station) and maybe he hit his flush when you hit your straight. I wouldn't have him on a boat (again unless he was a calling station, but then he wouldn't have raised big on the river, now would he?)
