I have my doubts about this hand, and didnt know how to handle the minraise. Should I have folded?

a min raise to me is like a person just begging you to put more and more money into the pot so they can take it all. usually this happens when someone hits a set and the only hand he could have here is 88 because had he flopped a set you would have seen a large raise to protect against a flush draw. but i also dont know if he would call post flop bets with 88 against you. he would either have to be VERY lag or have completely misread you in which case you want the call on the flop and i pay him off for his horrible play because next time and 8 more times after that he wont make his set on the turn and you will win much more money from him. betting into a flop like that with 88 is much different then calling a bet. my guess is hes on a draw by the turn and i call his raise. at best he may have a moderate queen, but id still figure him for a raise on the flop to protect against a flush draw with a queen. the 3 is a perfect card for you because if he has the queen you can make a huge bluff here and represent that you had a hand like ace 3. nice pull. just curious, did any post hand talk reveal what the villian had?

You're betting too small. I don't know hjow many posts I've written this in, it's so common. You need to bet more, like potsize you know... That river bet is bad, check call is way better if you're gonna put more money in the pot. Check fold is also valid. I guess you were trying for a blocking bet, but it's not a good spot IMO.
