But anybody calling here, against a loose player who has been caught pushing hard a few times with garbage? I'm thinking the flop is too scary, there were too many callers for one pair to be good, and I'm oop...right?
Or is this a good spot to collect some chips early on from a player who's probably out of line? He seems like the type to slow play a big hand, if he hit it.

I had 1040 at the break, then I had this hand after the break:

w/ 1040 I raise a limper to 200 w/ JJ, then get minreraised by the CO. Limper calls the 350 and I call also.

Flop Q high. Checked to the reraiser who puts us all-in, limper folds and I call after a long time b/c I would have been down to 690 w/ 25-50 blinds. He has AA, I turn a Jack to more than double up.

I feel dirty but it's okay.

I catch good.

It kinda figures tho, I get cold cards the entire first hour, then I finally get JJ and run into AA. Good thing I sucked out when all-in as a 9 to 1 dog.

I'm far, far from an expert, but I think you have to bet that flop. Either he's got a big ace and will play with you, or he has an underpair to the A and K and won't put another dime in the pot unless he catches a card that trips him up. So go ahead and put him to the test, hoping he has aq.

Does it seem to anyone else that when raising from late position blinds come flying over the top way too much? I'm not used to that in smaller tournies? Or is it just possible they are catching a lot of hands?

Around this point, if I'm still around I'll usually get tricky from both blinds (but espeecially the BB) if people have been raising me every time.
