What kind do you have, what should I look at and why?

Pics would be helpful.

Ive never owned a pair in my life.

What will you be using them for mostly?

I use mine for driving and working outside, mostly.

I have these:

Black Fly Firefly.
Got them for about $120 at Sports Chalet.
I have been very happy with them.

you can get the under ten bucks ones from AM/PM or whatever. Those are nice because they're disposable. I've broken a lot of sunglasses in my lifetime.

Don't get ones with interchangeable lenses. If you change the lenses often, the corner where they snap into will eventually break.

At least that was my experience with Coyotes

I've affectionately referred to those as "Queerphones" since highschool when my friend received a pair as a gift from a family member.

Those look pretty solid...I'm gonna be buying some sun glasses pretty soon. The lenses keep falling out of the ones that I bought last summer. It's annoying having to keep tightening the screws.

I was just going to say Oakley or Maui Jim's. My wife has Maui Jim's. I've had Serengeti's, Oakley, Armani's and Vuarnets. Currently, I have 1-2-3's but I think they went out of business. They all have good quality optics. I like polarized with fairly dark but not the darkest neutral color tints. You just need to find a frame that suits you. Don't buy expensive sunglasses if you're a scatterbrain and will lose them easily.
