Going through this right now. I gave her TOP, she read the first chapter, and came back "I don't like that much math". Went and got her Phil Gordon’s book, and she likes that much better. Also in KS they have free bar tournaments, so I have taken her to a couple of those.

I let my last girlfriend play with my money but under my supervision. I'd just sit and teach her as she went along.

I taught my gf the game, we played in home games. She started crushing play money SnGs. She deposited like $100 and crushed some more SnGs. I taught her the basics of limit, she started crushing .5/1, now she's playing around with 1/2.

$1-10 SnG are usually perfect. My fiance at least knows the structure better because of watching it on TV, so she's more comfortable in them. I usually sit with her while she plays--not because I'm worried about losing the money, but because I enjoy watching her play. She normally plays 2 and doesn't want ot play again for 2 weeks at least.

My GF watches me play and picks up stuff like that. Whenever she wants to play some, I just let her run some $1 or $5 SNGs on UB or something. She does surprisingly well.
