No read on MP2 but the table is tight (~25% VP$IP)

Absolute Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/club.gif.
2 folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, SB folds.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 3/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final Pot: 6.50 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ts Tc (full house, threes full of tens).
MP2 doesn't show.
Outcome: Hero wins 6.50 BB.

Should I be value betting or trying to induce a bluff on the river against an unknown opponent?

You should be value betting this all day long. I have been falling into a trap of checking these hands OOP. I lie to myself and say I want to induce a bluff, but really, I am a pussy. So, stop lying to yourself. Bet that mutha.

You shouldn't have shown the river action. Easy bet tho, what more do you want?

This is like, the easiest value bet in the world. And 3 bet if raised. You'll get called/raised by all sorts of crazy hands here since there are no face cards and most people just can't believe you could have the overpair you're representing.

I would be betting this all the way, especially on the turn, and if he wants to call the bet, then bet on the river as well.....

Then I would kick the cat when he turns over JJ.

You've been betting the whole way - they have no reason to think you'd be afraid of the third 3. If you bet you can still get called by a 4, 8, any other pocket pair, and probably Ace high. If you check you could be bluffed by the same hands but not all are going to call your check/raise. And I think this will be checked through far too often for it to be profitable.

Without a very specific read on this player I bet for value here.

I would bet this all day every day.
You have no read, so don't expect him to bet the river.

Wow - easy easy bet on the river. What do you lose to? Any pocket pair lower than yours (except for 88 and 44) now has a full house and will call. MP2 has shown no aggression so far, so trying to 'induce a bluff' is really bad. Just trying to put MP2 on a hand is impossible - even a weak A might call here thinking you're bluffing.

Easiest bet ever.

Easy bet. Even if MP2 folds, you gain.

That is definitely a case where you didn't value bet the river, and God killed a kitten.

And there goes another kitten.

Bet the river!
