Mr.Jacques Montard former French national bridge champion passed away at his home in Rouen,France. Mr.Montard and his
bridge partner Francois Aussiers represented France in the
1952,53,54 international bridge tournament.Mr.Montard also
served as president of the French Bridge Federation from 1956 to 1961.
In 1964,he was arrested in London and charged with committing a morals offence in a public bathroom.Mr.Montard
returned to France but the ensuing publicity caused him to
retire from public life.
He will be greatly missed by the international bridge community.
