Hypothetically interesting situation:
If you were member of a world parliament with sufficient military force to enforce its laws, which laws would you recommend?

That I be elected Ruler of the World. My first step would be to throw you in the gulag. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

None.

All nations would have some form of a representative and elected government.

From a general perspective the principals of the bill of rights would be enforced.

1) Unlimited visits to the salad bar.

2) No more stickers on each invididual piece of fruit.

3) Smaller pits in avocadoes.

4) A weight limit for those wearing thongs or bearing their midsections.

5) The death penalty for Liza Minelli.

6) Hotels could not advertise "based on double occupancy."

7) All seats on each airplane to be the same price.

8) An electric shock for any Fox family member who puts the milk carton back into the fridge with less than a mouthful of milk remaining in it.

9) Transport all the lawyers to the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.

10) No signs in doctors' offices which read either "It is customary to pay for services at the time they are rendered," or "We do not validate for parking."

The less laws, the more civilized the people. –Zeno (The 2+2 Zeno)

Guided by the above aphorism, I would enforce only two 'laws'.

1. Postmodernism (in reference to the 'philosophy'; not the architecture) would be elevated to the only ONE TRUE RELIGION. A conclave would be immediately held and a Postmodernism Pope elected. All would flow smoothly from then on.

2. All Michael Bolton Albums would be burned.

1. Plot the overthrow of the world govt.
2. Assassinate the USA leaders that got the USA to join that fool world govt. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
3. Lead the USA in suceeding and becoming a sovereign nation again. Then the rest of the world would be free to self-destruct at their leisure.
