They came to our school last year...definetly a good time. I've never seen so many people lighting up inside a school gym with cops all around before in my life.

I really like "3am"

O.A.R. represents everything I hate about my fellow college kids.

Am I the only one who hasn't heard of them before?

Anyways, I just went to their site and started listening to some songs. Predictably, they suck.

I saw them live, and I thought they were a shittier version of the [censored] pile that is DMB.

Now imagine thousands of people in a 2 square mile area blasting that music, and refusing to admit to the sucktitude.

Road Outside Columbus or Black Rock

I've loved OAR for year. They had a record signing for In Between Now and Then in Menlo Park, NJ about 2 years ago, and it was just a small acoustic set with Marc Roberge and Richard On. It was absolutely amazing. I was like 10 feet away from the band and they did this amazing rendition of Crazy Game of Poker/No Woman No Cry. Go see them, you won't be disappointed.

Instead of listening to O.A.R. you all should be listening to this. (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2212491&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1)

i have been a fan since 2001. i admit they have tried to go mainstream a bit, but the live album as well as the older stuff is still pretty good.

"Well in the end, my friend
We will all be together again
Clutchin' onto my hand
In a valley with sand
Just livin' again
In a while we'll smile
March on another mile..."

Is this [censored] shit serious?

No, we really shouldn't.

yes, yes you should. You can find out what real music and creativity sound like, as opposed to listening to stoners copying the sound of their favorite folk/jam bands.

Yeah, I grew up listening to OAR because they went to a rival highschool. About Mr Brown, Black Rock, Wanderer and Crazy Game are sweet.

My friends band opened for them a few times before he moved on to bigger and better things.

Word. It's not so much that I hate the music of DMB and OAR, it's that I hate the feeling I get when I listen to it.

My twenty thrown down in my fist of rage
And the man to my left just folded down
Johnny doubled up with a Royal Flush
I had three jacks and a pair of nines
My mind is turning just two shots more
There's not much left to play
Then dude walks in Black hat on top, what a mop
I'm lucky it wasn't a county cop, cause I'm just running out of
time

Who's up for game two, what to do?
My wallet's getting thin and I just lost my watch last night
I got a problem, just one answer got to throw it all down
And kiss it goodbye

That was a crazy game of poker
I lost it all
But someday I'll be back again
And I'm never to fall
Never to fall

Who's up for game three?
I can barely see the bourbon drowning next to me
And I just lost it all
Well there's a man sitting next to me
Red with smiling eyes
It's funny I don't have no money tonight.

That was a crazy game of poker
I lost it all
But someday I'll be back again
And I'm never to fall
Never to fall

i wanna be me
