View Full Version : What about this steal attempt?

I dont know if I should be making steals like this. I tend to shy away from stealing into low stacks like this with marginal hands, as I am afraid they will move in/call, and I will have to invest a decent portion of my stack with a hand like 44. Should I be raising this or was my fold ok?

I raise 100% of the time, and I also raise with a lot less. Folded to button, 44 is an easy, really easy raise.

Asking about this means you are not raising enough.

absolutely raise this, every time...raise enough to pot commit him if hes going to call, but enough that you can get away from the hand if SB calls as well...id say about 350 or so

Nah, I'd just make standard t250 to t300, same with every other hand I raise with here. You're still getting pot odds to call BB's push, and you can still fold a push from SB.

This might be a very serious leak. When going against stacks that I have well covered, I push a lot MORE than if they are comparable/larger. Since you're the larger stack, they cannot bust you. This fact, combined with a large amount of FE, makes pushing a lot of crap hands a +EV move.

As for this hand, I raise in a heartbeat.
