Someone mentioned a few days ago the idea of posting a whole session. Well, this isn’t my whole session from today, but it’s the hands that I played from my 100 hand session this afternoon.

I may have missed some unimportant hands I was not involved with, but this should be about it.

Hand 1: Good

Hand 2: I would 3-bet the turn and then check/call the river if capped. If he just calls, lead the river

Hand 3: Against only 2 limpers I raise this pre-flop. Rest is fine.

Hand 4: Good

Hand 5: Lead the flop. Given that you showed no aggression I like going for a check-raise on the turn.

Hand 6: Good

Hand 7: I would bet the river after he checked the turn.

Hand 8: I'm torn here. It sure looks like UTG has a K but I would be very tempted to call to find out.

Hand 9: I don't cap AQo pre-flop especially from someone in the SB. A raise from the blinds often times signals a very strong hand. Although you went with your read so I can't fault you for that. Good fold on the flop.

Hand 10: Good

Hand 11: Good

Hand 13: Button could be on a steal here. Depending on your read of him I would 3-bet to try and knock out the BB. Rest of the hand is fine.

Hand 14: Good

1. Turn fold goot
2. I'd probally 3-bet the turn...could be spewing though
3. Raise PF, the rest is textbook
4. Man that's a funky turn bet by UTG...I'd probally call down here.
5. Bet the flop
6. Perfecto
7. Limp...meh, gotta be the right table conditions, anyhow i'd bet the river. Probally a safe fold to a c/r here
8. I don't understand how you folded that river. That card sucks, but you gotta call..
9. I'll trust your read with the PFR, but remember ,fish get cards too. Flop fold is good
10. Yup, good fold
11. Yup
13. check call the flop and pop the turn. Your line is no good methinks.
14. Good.

Overall a solid session but you got sucked out on. Work on the flaws i think that I found and work on it next time. Get your money back from those fish /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Agreed. He'll have a busted flush draw here every once in a while, no?

I don't think we're ahead a whole lot, but atleast 1 in 10 it's bluffing a scare card or a busted flush. I don't think i could fold this for one bet on the river. If he flipped over a busted flush draw i'd probally be on tilt the rest of the night

Guess I just thought that flop raise meant he had atleast a K. Looking back that was a pretty bad assumption by me.

The only thing more amazing than somebody posting 14 hands in a single post is that so many people responded to it without slapping him.

Bad morning, OP...you should've gone to the driving range instead.

With BD flush draw + BD straight draw + overcards you can take a card off if you choose to in 10 getting 10-1.

Hand 4: Raise the turn.

Hand 7: Check/call, check/call, bet.

Hand 8: Call the river, he might have spades.

Hand 10: I take one off on the flop.

Hand 13: 3 bet preflop. Check/call, check/call, check/raise would be hot. Also check/call and bet the turn would be ok but less hot. And check/call, check raise the turn would be not hot at all but pretty standard. You don't like to play heads up it seems.

Letting the BB in for cheap against an obvious steal with a decent Ace is bad. You want to get heads up against the probable worse hand. After that you can't think anything on this flop except "how do I get the most money in".

This is a donkbet. (formerly known as a gaybet. The PC police arrested someone) It's a bet out of nowhere from a poor player on a scare card.

Fishies LOVE betting out here, you should get used to raising them. I would do it here most of the time, because the board's not that scary.

You will often see it from any pair/draw. Sometimes they have it, but more often than not, from my experience, they don't.

EDIT: Sorry, just realized I gave bad advice below. check/call--check/call--bet is the best line here.

:BAD/not as good as above ADVICE BELOW:
Try checkraising against the preflop raisers, and go from there. Your decision how to play it if he 3-bets is up to you. If he doesn't 3-bet you, lead the turn and river.

The way you played it, I'd bet the river. He'll definitely call you with any pair, and maybe even with K high, like he had here.

Overall, I think most of these hands are well played.

Hey,

You're playing very well. Any mistakes you've made here are subtle and certainly every action is defendable. Basically, you're plenty good enough to beat .50/1 and should probably think about moving up.

I personally do a lot more check-raising when I flop hands out of the blinds, I'd have raised KQ facing the donkbet, and I may have paid off with the counterfeited 2 pair.

Good luck.

Letting the BB in for cheap against an obvious steal with a decent Ace is bad. You want to get heads up against the probable worse hand. After that you can't think anything on this flop except "how do I get the most money in".

It's not the preflop I'm objecting to. It's the idea that someone's going to bet into you three times (even twice, really) without a big ace on this flop, allowing you to c/c c/c c/r.
