Dumb question, but is there a deadline that I have to sign up and pay the entry fee for WSOP events? I'll be in Vegas for the first week or so of June, can I sign up and pay at the RIO when I get there or do I have to pre-register? can I enter anytime right up to when the particular event begins?

Thanks!

I am sure you can do it up to the moment it sells out or when the tourney starts.

At what point do they consider the tournament sold out??

Well they claim they will handle 6600 this year. Who knows the logistics with satelites and such going on all the time. I wouldn't attempt to buyin at the last minute because I am sure there will be long lines.

And who knows if they will take alternates or not.

Man, I would love to watch you guys play heads-up. How about the 40/80 game at the Mirage?

i heard from table banter they are selling out at 6600, and will almost certainly hit that mark. so you should signup in advance.

dont know if that is reliable though.

good luck bro.

It seems at least semi-official to me.

Good question. I plan on playing in the $1500 NL tourney on June 3rd but wont hit Vegas until a couple of days before. Will that be fine for signing up at the Rio? I can't enter via their website as they dont acknowledge the existence of any country outside the US.

You can preregister if you like.

Go to the WSOP website and find the link for registration.

You can send a certified check, or wire transfer the money.

I recommend signing up the day before, when the lines are not that long. That is, unless you plan on winning your way in through single table sats. You shouldn't have a problem with early events selling out.
