Strange that the URL says 20-200 but it's shows only 20% up to $100 on the bonus page. Hope it turns out to be an error on Party's part (wow would the chances of that be !)

Ummmm, you have to make a deposit during the "reload time period" (and key in the deposit code when you do it). Then it will show up on you bonus page.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. Though I think you might have to wait for it to process (if you use something like IGMpay). Like... you can't just pull it out and stick it right back in while it's sitting with IGM. You actually have to deposit the money from you bank account, I think. But you can withdraw the money from PP, wait for it to show up in your bank account, and then redeposit in PP using that money from your bank account.

Don't quote me on that, though I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Hi cassette -

You are wrong.
The part about 'not being allowed to club' just means that you cannot get the initial-deposit bonus AND the reload on the SAME deposit.
You only get ONE bonus PER deposit.

So you get the initial-deposit bonus on your first deposit. And then you get the reload (provided you use the code) on your 2nd deposit.

But there is no problem with having 2 bonuses to clear there at the same time.

Just so I'm clear before depositing. I've got ~600 hands left to clear on my first deposit bonus. If I deposit using this bonus will all my future raked hands count towards both at the same time? Or will I still have to play 600 and then another 700 on top?

Thanks

you will have to play them off seperately.

Most likely it will go towards clearing the initial-deposit bonus first before they count towards the reload-bonus....but it might work backwards.

But you will need to clear 1300 hands to get both bonuses.

You can have two bonus pending at the same time, but you need to clear the first before you start clearing the second. So in your example, you'll have to play 1300 raked hands to clear both bonuses.

You should consider holding off on making a second deposit until you've cleared the first bonus. For the reload deposits, you only have a week from the time you make the deposit to clear it, and if you deposit now the clock will start ticking. Clear the first one bonus first, then deposit and you'll have a full week to clear the second bonus.

Truepoker is now running a reload bonus at 40% up to $150.00. I am interested in feedback and would like to discuss a basic reload issue ....

What is the relevance of a % figure, so long as the cap is unchanged and the payout rate is unchanged. (A reload bonus is functionally a rake-back device really, so why have players/sites tied them to "deposits"?)

probably b/c most sites were originally owned/operated/had ties to online casino's, where a deposit based bonus makes more sense.

I think you will see some innovative sites change...

I'm going to have to haul ass and finish the Pokerroom bonus. I can't resist $150 even if I have to tie up my whole damned bankroll. I cleared 10% of the requirement in 1.5 hrs tonight so it looks like I have to play about 14 more hours of Pokerroom 1/2 four tabling before I can cash out to reload at Party.

Then somewhere I need to find time to do the PokerPlex and William Hill before the end of the month so I can then do the same at the beginning of next month before cashing out.

Woe is me...

I love this game.

I agree with you here..... If a bonus structure was just changed to play X number of raked hands within a certain period of time, to earn Y number of dollars, that would be the most efficient way for it to work.

Whenever a Party/Empire/Absolute bonus or whatever comes out, I withdraw from that site and redeposit. They could save a lot in neteller fees if they just offered a non-deposit bonus of every Y dollars for X hands or whatever.

EDIT: I also agree that this would be a great topic for a new thread.

I find the % bonus to really be irrelevant as I think most of us do. I'd rather have a Party bonus that was 5% up to $200 than one that is 100% up to $100. I think the main reason that Party wouldn't do a non deposit bonus is that they would have to pay EVERYBODY instead of just those who deposit. Now it's like maybe 10% of the player base withdraws/deposits or deposits more money. If it was a non deposit bonus, they would supposedly have to pay 100% of the players.

They don't do this for the same reason that companies offer mail in rebates for product purchases instead of just giving a discount at the register. Everyone has the opportunty to take advantage of the offer, but surprisingly few of them do, and it saves the company millions of dollars while still giving them good PR. I've read research that says only 20-30% of eligible mail-in rebates are ever redeemed, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's about the same for reload bonuses at poker sites.

I still think that most of the people who only play one site (which is the majority of the players) only use iGM-Pay. With NETeller it's simple to cash out / re-deposit but with iGM-Pay it ties up the money for weeks.

Even when people know there is free money out there in the form of bonus on Party skins or rakeback they're just "too lazy".
