I looked around, looks like the Inspiron 6000 with the WUXGA screen gives 1900x1200. I have one configured now for a total of 1650, dont know if I really need it but think I might pull the trigger.

I just bought an Inspiron 9300. Awesome machine. It allows 4 tabling/no overlap with ease.

I thought that this was a much better deal for desktops than for laptops (relative to past laptop deals, not that past deals are any good to us now). I picked up a 4700 with the 2005FPW for about $850 (tax is ridiculous in TN). That means I'm getting the computer for ~$350, since the 2005FPW would run me, at cheapest, about $450 by itself, and I'd have to get a new video card on top of that.

The laptop deal is dead, but the desktops may still have a couple thousand uses left.

Agreed...if you're in the market for a dekstop, this is as good as it's going to get for a long time.
