I think my poker playing has improved lately as I've stopped thinking about "trying to get back to even" and "I deserve this pot" mentality. Tbach has helped me realize that this game isn't a game about clairvoyance or guessing but playing according to probability.

I had J J UTG

.10/.25 NL

Hero has $20
Villain has $30

(I had no notes on villain). One of only players that I had no notes on.

Hero calls UTG
fold
fold
MP raises to 50 cents (MP raised to 50 previously with KK)
Villain in CO raised to $2
FOLD
FOLD
Hero calls

Flop: T T 5 pot=$ 6.50

Hero bets $3
MP folds
Villain raises to $9
Hero folds

Good ? I figured that I'd show strength on the flop and if I got raised then I would fold which I did.

I also tried to figure my odds of running into QQ, KK, AA

It's about 15 to 1, right ? About 7 or 8 % ?

would someone raise to $9 on the flop with Ace high ? Assuming he has A K ?

Your bet says I am weak, raise me. If I was villain, I would raise it with any 2 cards.

Any reason why checking here might be a good idea ? I'm just trying to understand poker logic. If I know he is a very aggressive player, that might be a good option ?

Checking is not good. Check/calling gives you no information and could end up costing you lots of money. Check/raising is expensive and I doubt you can push out a better hand.
Leading is good, but you need to do it with more strength.
