So, Absolute Poker closed down 2,000 accounts last night

I've been playing poker there 4 weeks now. I'm not a bonus whore. I went dirctly to the site when i signed up(No affilate or rake deal) I just like to play poker. My account is locked and it's looks like i will not get my funds anytime soon.

I have yet to see one person I actually know on this forum make this claim. You better believe that if 2,000 accounts were really closed, we would be hearing from at least one of them.

But that is still COMPLETELY different than saying your account is locked. By my count I see only 2 people who have said this, and you are one of them.

Some of you are failing to realize that just because a site isn't as big as Party doesn't mean that they aren't making a s***load of money.

I imagine that the reason for the slow cashouts is that they are reviewing each one more closely to look for possible chip dumping due to the recent fraud. Anyone who has won a good deal of money and paid a low amount of rake might be subject to extra review.

For what it's worth: I remember clearing a bonus there many months ago. I was constantly trying to check the cashier page because it was taking so long to clear. The cashier page seemed to hang a lot back then as well.

I got the free 10 more than a year ago. I think it's an ongoing promotion open for everyone without an account already. You just email them with the words "free10" or something like that after you set up your account. Then it's credited.

Since they don't ask for verification, I suppose opening a thousand false accounts to get and to dump the 10 bucks off of would not be to much of a hassle.

Any middle school kid could pull this one off I suppose. As long as they had at least one legit account to dump to quickly that could do the withdrawal.

I called 1-866-788-3005 and spoke to a reasonably courteous, reasonably honest person and 60 minutes later 2K was in my Neteller account. Initially I was told it would be there within 12 hours but when I explained that it had already been over 48 hours he said that it would need to be cleared by the Security Dept. first. I asked to go directly to them and he said they would not be available until 11AM Eastern Time. I said I would call back then. I also tried to pin him down on every detail (in a respectful way) and made clear that I would be following up on this in whatever way (through proper channels) necessary. Your mileage may vary. I just started playing there a week ago, and withdrew all my funds 2 days ago(small 25% profit /images/graemlins/laugh.gif). I have heard so much about there lighting fast payouts I figured I would have the funds that night...nothing for 2 days.
So thanks to whoever gave there phone number - I called them. At first they seemed rather hush hush, but then i asked some questions, and they said it would hit my neteller in under 1 hour. I will report back the results, but After this I mentioned that there were rumors they were closing accounts out in mass. She laughed and said no, that was not true at all. I will let you all know if I get the cash. BTW I have only 1 account, and have no flags for anykind of strange activity. I just called Absolute to find out why cash outs are delayed. The guy could not tell me exactly why, but hinted that some people took advantage of a promotion a couple of days ago. Because of this, Absolute has had to take extra security measures with cashouts. He told me my money would be in Neteller by tomorrow.

i just called and was told that due to an increase of players cashouts are taking longer now. Kinda bull crap since i just want my money. Should be automated to realease atleast what you deposited and then they can investigate your winnings or what ever.

It usually is in my Neteller account in 24hrs or less. I think my longest was 48. I'll be leaving sometime Sat morning and won't be back until late Sunday/early Monday. If I don't have money in Neteller by then I'll call and ask what's the deal.

I cashed out Tuesday morning and still waiting for it to hit neteller. All Absoulte will tell me is there is a delay. I tried to get an explanantion or an ETA on when they would have it fixed but they just reply back with there is a delay.

AP is not even close to Party and Games Grid for speed, but, they aren't that big either.

I cashed out $500 on Thursday, and it hit my Neteller on Sunday. True, this is a little longer than normal, but I'm not alarmed.

If anything, this whole thread should get some of the 2+2 TAG's off the site and make the games better.
