Final table from last nights 20+2 NL tourney. I just busted the other huge stack at the table, and had a commanding chip lead. Something like:

Me: 950000
P1: 90000
P2: 75000

Blinds 4k & 8k

1st - 3.8k
2nd - 2k
3rd - 1.5k

P1 & P2 proceded to fold EVERY hand, either to my BB, or when I auto put them in. P2 obviously had to make a stand, but it came when he only had 24k or so, and I called his push with like 7-5 and hit a pair.

So the question is, can this ever be right? I can understand P1 folding around given P2s action, but eventually P2 knows he's going to have to make a stand, why not do it when doubling up could possibly matter?

Anyway, P2 busted, P1 had like 40k, and after one double up, I wrapped the tourney up.

Anyone ever experience something like this, or have some further insight into what P1 & P2 should have been doing?

Each knew he wouldn't help himself much by doubling up, so each was hoping the other would bust first.
A very nice situation for you /images/graemlins/smile.gif
