I'm in my early 20s and a student in a college in Mississipp, USA. I play a minimum of 3-4 times a week. Since January I've taken my playing more seriously and have seen a great boost in my results. Almost all of my winnings have gone to rent, bill, and general needs. I have averaged around $550 per month. The games I play in are home games, $.50/$1 NLH and tournment style games. I also play in a $35 60 person tournment everyweek at a near by casino, which I have won twice and placed in the money 3 times since Febuary. Now my question; When is it time to move up to bigger games? Should I keep playing the small tournment every week or move up to bigger tournments i.e. larger buy-ins and larger pay-outs? Seeking any advice. /images/graemlins/spade.gif

The low limit games (4/8, 3/6) in Tunica are excellent for bankroll building, I would recommend the horseshoe. New poker room opening there in about a month as well. Just my 2 cents.

Stay in school!
For the real reasons, crosspost this in psychology forums.

Play on line in your spare time.
Dont base your play on 5 money finishes in 10- 6 table tournaments. When summer rolls around, take a more serious stab at playing multi table tournaments, try 7 a week for 3 months and see how you feel.
