What should I complete the SB with? Right now my VP$P from the SB is at 44%. I complete with any two suited cards, anything connected, and any two cards above ten. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

That VPIP is huge from the SB. 30-35% is what you should be looking at.

start taking the # of limpers into account or elaborate on your standards with a # of limper breakdown.

Mine is only 26%. I think my reason is a matter of table selection.

I'd have to purposely seek out tables that only allowed me to complete 26% /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Maybe I am a little tight. I usually complete any 2 suited, unless there's something like 1 limper, and any cards ten or higher. Should I be completing hands like 78o with a few limpers?

I complete with those types of hands. My SB complete % is around 35, which I think is perfect. My favorite hand to complete with is 23s =).

Completing from the SB is very situation dependent. With enough limpers, I could be convinced to play just about anything.

On first glance, I'd say tighten up, but maybe you just play on tables where everyone limps /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, these stats are from .02/.04, so there is an average of 4-5 limpers every hand.

I've gotten screwed the last two days in SB and BB w/ Axo, Kxo, and Qxo. Basically anything I can get dominated with. Enough whinning on my part!

So, how low will you reasonably go w/ you X's offsuit w/ a A, K or Q?

What about K9o or K8o, or lower? Will you complete with that hand? What about Qxo as well, or Axo? How Low Will You go?

My general rule is to complete with any two suited, any pair, and any two cards T or higher. I will also usually complete with A9o and K9o. Q9o I muck.

With a small number of limpers I will complete with any offsuit A, but I literally mean like one or maybe two limpers at the most. That doesn't seem to happen often at .5/1, so I usually find myself mucking these.

Kxo is pretty much crap IMO even with just a few players considering that I'll be OOP the whole hand.

I almost always complete 2 suited cards if there's only 1 limper. For the simple reason that I know I can outplay them postflop.

Is .035 BB/100 (44% minus 30% times .25BB) that big a leak?

Personally, I don't complete K9o. The mutt always comes back and bites me in the ass. It's probably profitable for 0.5 SB, but having the worst position takes a lot of that away. I'm also more than willing to grant that you're a better player than me.

Actually, I haven't been completing A9o either. That's one that I'd be open to reconsider, however. I'll have to try it out for a while and see what I think.

I'll occasionally complete (unraised) with a totally donk hand like J2o just for tilt value. When I split the pot with someone on the button with KJ on a runner-runner straight I'll remind him how much that sucked.

Mostly though I play broadways. And even then I play so passive because I hate the position and I suck. Every time I get aggro some passive call station with pocket rockets bites me in the wallet. /images/graemlins/mad.gif So I play passive and pick up itty bittys where I can.

then ya you can play a lot of hands for 1/2 price if you constantly get 6/.5
