no notes or read, but villan had 50 hands of stats with 59/0/.1 and from one hand I had with him he seemed a bit loose passive. The river raise was an auto raise. How bad is this call?

I don't think it's close to a 1bb mistake.

The "auto-raise" on the river is, to me, either a big made hand, or a complete bluff. In the moment I call down b/c I don't like folding top pair HU unless it's a really scary board... but I think folding is probably a better play EV wise b/c he is so passive.

I dont like folding at all here. He doesn't have to be bluffing here very often for this call to be profitable, and people whose stats are that bad preflop often make really goofy bluffs.

LOL I was at your table...it seemed pretty clear that the 3 hit him but I don't think I could fold either...probably a leak.

Against a loose passive I think I can find a fold here. Also, I wouldn't recommend the turn check/raise against a passive opponent. Too often you're just going to give a free card and when an LP does bet here it's much more likley that you're beat (especially with top pair weak kicker).

The turn play is considerably worse. Checkraising a guy with a .1 aggression factor is making two bad decisions.

Picking the proper advice to piggy back in it's own right is a good exercise especially on public message boards like these.

i dont understand the turn CR at all...were you planning on that? trying to CR this type of opponent seems like the worst play in this situation...if you check, and he bets you are likely behind, and putting in extra bets with the worst of it. on the other side, if you check and he checks, he probably would have called a bet with a hand that you are ahead of. seems like the worst of both worlds. bet the turn, he most likely calls the bet, call the river raise.
