View Full Version : Bankroll requirement for no-limit hold'em

I have been playing no-limit $50 max buy-in online with Paradise Poker, and I would like to know how big a bigroll would be required to play for the long run. I know you need approximatly 300 big bets for limit games, but what about no-limit?

This is discussed once a week on this forum. I play in a small pot-limit hold em home game where I am one of the better players. Our buy-in ranges from 100-500 times the blind. Whereas Paradise's game is 20-100 times the blind. That makes a big difference in required roll. I like to have 5000x the blind in my roll. I take 3-4 max buy-ins to the game. In the short-stack paradise game I would still want 2000 to 2500x the big blind. This is assuming you are a winning player. If you aren't then that's where the million comes in. For more on Big-bet bankrolls check the 2nd or 3rd page on this list.

If you are good, id say about 2000. If youre bad, about 2 mill should do it.
