I don't know if I like my raise from UTG here with just JJ, maybe I should limp? However playing JJ a bit faster has proven to be pretty profitable for me lately.

Hes minraise on the on the flop made me pretty sure he didn't have an ace, and I thought I should atleast take a stab at the pot.

Hand 2:
With just one caller of the ~7BB bet I might fold this preflop, however I felt I could play this for overpair and set value.
When I look back at the hand the flop all in looks a bit sketchy, but I only really feared AA-QQ, 66 and possibly A7 here.

This early in a Party structure tourney, I like to play jacks for set value. In Hand 1, I'd probably limp from UTG and check/call the flop to see if I can't improve on the turn. Turn and river play on Hand 1 were otherwise standard, IMO.

I like how Hand 2 was played.

You played No. 1 fine. From this seat, this early, I prefer limping with JJ. But I've no problem with raising.

I fold JJ preflop on #2. The reasons:

1. Your hand is probably only a slight favorite over typical UTG raising hands.
2. You're out of position.
3. You aren't getting good set value price.

Anyway, after the flop, if you're willing to get all your chips in, I would probably go for a check raise.

I like how #2 was played as well. Definately limp in #1 though.

I like Big's reasoning behind this as well, it can go either way. If you make the call you're going to be scared of any overcards so you will be in trouble if you have to make a bet out of position and he comes over the top of you. Position is very important with JJ, so that's why this can be a fold.

I disagree with Hand 2. I'd push here and not think twice.

UTG has 185 chips and the blinds are 10/15. He probablt did something stupid (or maybe got sucked out on) and couldeasily be just tilting away the rest of his stack. I give him basically no credit for a hand and even if he does you aren't losing that much.

Now you have 2 callers, people in the 22s love to call big raises from shortstacks so this doesn't worry me too much either, but there is now another 200 in the pot. If you can eliminate those 2 players, you are in excellent shape against a likely tilt raise from UTG+1.
