Maybe he means adjusting play against a regular solid multi-tabler or something.

I seem to remember reading somewhere on here that the steps are generally a bad idea... like playing a $5 sng, winning $10, and turning around and playing a $10 sng, winning $30, turning around and playing a $30 sng, and so on until you're stuck in a game that's over your head and you lose.

I couldn't tell you how tough the games are. I've only played the WSOP steps, and for those I just dropped in $50 and wrote it off like I would lotto tickets (if I actually bought lotto tickets) with the remote chance i might get lucky, and if not, at least it was fun to play...
