I am an American and recently got a sales pitch claiming that 80% or so of Europeans subscribed to a prepaid legal service, a kind of insurance plan that provides only legal assistence. I was wondering if any genuine Europeans on this board could confirm or deny this.
For example: "Since 1907, legal insurance had been as common in Western Europe as car or health insurance is in America today."

If such plans exist please post a link to the company web site, as I have been unable to find any.
This question obviously relates to US company PPD, Prepaid Legal. http://www.prepaidlegal.com/
