Hi all,

I've been playing Party/Skins .50/1.00. I'm wondering if I need to work on my table selection. I play after midnight usually and it's about 50/50 that I find a table over 30% vp$ip (according to pt). Should I keep looking until I find a high 30% or is this about what I should expect? Should I just sit at the table, play once around the table and then leave if the vp$ip isn't high enough?

Thanks for your help!

Honestly, at the .50/1 level on Party, it doesn't much matter.

I find that at slightly above 30% VPIP is a good aim to shoot for in non-prime hours. I can deal witha 30% VPIP, but anything below that is too tight for my taste. That being said, just about every table should be profitable at .5/1

At .5/1, I don't think that you have to worry all that much about table selection. Most tables you sit down at will have at least 3 fish, and if you're just sitting around waiting for PT to show you which tables have 30% or higher VPIP, who's to say that table will be that way after you sit down and a few at the table leave? Not to mention the time wasted not playing when you could be playing.

All I do is sort by avg pot, and start trying to get in the top of the list working down to the $9 tables. Any lower, and I'll just wait 30 seconds for the list to refresh itself. This has worked spectacularly for me at .5/1 and 1/2.

Thanks all! I guess I just have to keep looking at my game then to find my leaks ;-)

Most people say table selection doesn't matter at 0.50/1, but in my opinion it does. It's not only about beating the game, it's about maximizing your profit.

A 0.50/1 VP$IP 40 table with mostly passive opponents is micro-limit heaven. Your BB/100 will rise significantly if you can identify and sit down at these tables.
