I bought them nice Nike baseball hats and had the date embroidered on the back. It is nice gift they will actually use and has some sentiment.

If they all golf you could get them something like a golf bag with their name stiched on or a new driver.

my friend's brother-in-law gave all of his groomsmen nice flasks with the groomsmen's initials engraved on them.

Last wedding I was in, I received a black Louisville Slugger with my name and wedding info engraved. Pretty sweet actually.

I did the initial on the money clips and that worked out nicely. Not over expensive and they all liked them. I put nicknames and other stuff on them. My friend we call pork chops I got one that said "P. Chops"

How much are you wanting to spend?

Do what I did, get em silver pocket watches. Do some searching on the web and you can find some good deals. I think I ended up spending $25 each on pocket watches engraved with the guys' initials. Perhaps not an every day use type item, but it comes in handy when dressing up and stuff.

Hey, I'm actually in the same spot. I have no idea what to get my groomsmen either...I'm leaning towards cufflinks though. I know both of them will be wearing french cuff shirts on the day, so it might be nice to give it to them that morning so they can wear them at the wedding. The only other wedding I've been in all the groomsmen got cufflinks in this fashion and it worked out pretty well.

That's pretty cool. Did you guys play baseball or kill people in trunks of cars together?

That's brilliant. Very cool.

I like the toolbox idea too.

I gave mine tickets to a Bruins game. We all sat in the same section. Sports tickets are a good alternative to the run-of-the-mill gifts.

I got personalized gifts for each person, which was kind of a pain in the ass, but I think it went over well. They were:

Bear bag (dude's nickname is Bear Bag Jones)
Hammock
Camelback
Flask
Hipster's Handbook + retro beer glass
Knife

cufflinks is a good idea, I may go with a leatherman though. my friend got his groomsmen hammers and I thought that was cool.

Last time I was a best man, he gave all the groomsmen matching ties to wear for the wedding. He got us to match. We got nice ties.

I got my best man a homebrew kit. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

How many people in your wedding? I'm getting married two weeks from Saturday and have yet to find what I'm getting them all. I have eight in the wedding so it's a lot of gifts.

Tell me what you decide on.

Peace

The best gift you can get your groomsman is to pay for their tux rental or airplane ticket or hotel stay or whatever. I've been in 3 weddings in the last couple years (twice best man) and it's costing me a fortune. I've spent easily over $2000 by the time I factor in tux rentals, hotels, meals, airfare, gifts, and time off of work. Not to mention the hassles of best man speeches.

I would have been thrilled to open up a reimbursement check instead of the desk clock (or nothing at all in one case...)

Best one I received was a cheap desk clock/pencil holder with a $50 Circuit City gift card inside.

LOL, just big baseball fans. It was unique and something that looks cool in a case on the wall.
