Hi Guys,

First post in this forum, i've played about 40,000 hands of Party 5\10, first 20,000 ran at 2.5 bb\100 , second one is at -0.1 bb\100. I think im getting a little gun shy because of this, or maybe it was a prudent check ?

Please let me know what you think.

I dunno, that *is* a pretty scary river . . . .

Bet it. Yeah maybe someone has been slowplaying two pair, or A2 just sucked out on you, or who knows what, but in general I think betting here is +EV. Though I'll chastise you less for wimping out than others will, as with the preflop 3-bet and your aggression on the flop and turn, it IS odd that you still have two callers at this point. Reads would be nice.

(What will probably happen is that you'll bet, one person that was on a draw will fold, and some guy with K9 or JJ will call and you'll make a BB in the process. I think a strong argument could be made here for folding to a river checkraise against all but the loopiest opponents.)

The only prudent thing about that hand is posting it here and getting your arse kicked around. This check is worse than billy's.

In fact, I have seriously no clue how you managed 2.5 bb / 100. Man, some people just run good.

Really easy bet. This seriously reminds me of a phenomenon I've been witnessing at the tables (not to mention this board).... people just give up on top pair or an overpair on the river. They just stop betting. And each time it happens, I can't help laughing. It's like they just gave you $10.

Definitely a value bet.

This bet is automatic. Any ace here is automatic, let alone a big kicker.

OK thanks for the bollocking !

I've been getting hammered by bizarre 2 pairs and straights recently and the fact i had 2 callers all the way concerned me. I bottled out on the river this time. When i was running better i would have pounded this all the way, just shows how playing when low in confidence can feed on itself and compound the problems.

Lesson learned.

Cheers Guys.
