View Full Version : I only played this hand because I had a nice stack

I think I'm getting correct odds to call on the flop and turn but if I'd had a smaller stack I would have never been in this hand to begin with. I'm usually really tight in the early rounds.

Is this a leak?

This is a PP 11

I guess you can do this at the $11's, but i still fold preflop. losing 150 chips adds up.

A min raise in a $11 tournament usually means that the player was dealt 2 cards. I call preflop.

Your call on the flop was bad. This is a clear raise. His bet was weak. If he doesn't fold, you likely get to see free card on the turn when he checks to you.

If I wasn't paying attention and accidently called on the flop, I definately raise on the turn. He bets 60 into a 375 pot??? Don't bring that weak **** in here.

The reason you can call preflop is because you have position. If you are going to waste it by just calling him and hoping a for diamond, then you should fold preflop.

The preflop call isn't awful, but calling down seems bad.

I think you should raise the flop and put some pressure on an A-high hand to fold.

i definitely call this preflop- it's a minraise from the CO- stop seeing monsters

that said, i'm reraising the flop but checking the turn if the bb hung on post flop and of course dropping the river.

I like the reasoning here. This is a fine post; I like seeing your reasoning.

I definitely raise the flop or at least the turn here. You are giving this pot away to overcards way too often if you call down and fold if you don't hit anything. CO doesn't believe either of you have anything and you might make the best hand fold here (would bottom/second pair call down here against a bet and a raise?). With position you can get a free card on the turn with a flop raise or pick up the pot with a turn raise.

The way this was played you can only win by hitting your hand (which, by the turn, is starting to become unlikely).
