Pretty sure I played the turn right... New at the table, just starting second orbit.

Is it normal to call 72s to an MP raise? I usually muck low suited cards unless they somehow connect.

Giving everything else.. I like the flop C/R, you just gotta C/C the turn, river bluff, I guess why not?

On the river I have the ass-end of straight with four on the board.

I think this play is horrible on every street.

So you don't value bet the piss end of the straight and you lead into a guy who 3 bet your c/r on the flop when you still have nothing but a draw?

Wow, you really suck.

Actually, I dont call a raise with suited garbage from the BB, when the raiser is an unknown to me because I just sat down; checkraise on the flop with a weak draw OOP where my c/r will lay 7:1 odds to be called; or value bet the piss end of the str8 on a flush-coordinated board where the villain was a preflop raiser and a flop three-bettor after my checkraise.

But what do I know, I'm weak tight. (And just to be clear, I overstated my criticism when I said it sucked on every street. I also check the turn.)

HU a 4-flush is not a "weak" draw... it's necessary to be aggressive with most good draws and nearly any made hand in a blind defense situation as it is too costly to wait for TPTK or monster draws.

Additionally, the river value bet is pretty clear, as 3-betting the flop HU could mean anything - overcards, pair + backdoor flush, nearly any PP, TJ, who knows.

There are a large number of paired (and unpaired) hands that will call and you'll drag the pot, while there are relatively few (a Q and a runner-runner-flush) that will raise you, while you may even get raised by 2pair or a set.

These factors make a river value bet pretty clear.

I also fold preflop though.

I would need like two callers to play this hand PF. Your line postflop is fine.
