It must suck being a Yankees fan, always being just a little worse than the Red Sox. We scored one more, one inning before you did:

It was just a hypothetical question, but I think maybe it can help you. Really think about it.

Reminds me of what Don Drysdale said, in another era, when informed that Sandy Koufax had pitched a perfect game. "Did he win?" [Actually, just barely: the Dodgers got only one hit that didn't figure in the scoring in a 1-0 victory.]

Even I as a diehard Yankee's fan could careless about us scoring 13 runs in the 2nd inning....we got lucky in one inning.
Wright still gave up what like 5 to 8 runs..good job douche bag...glad we ditched Jon Leiber and his 3-0 record for you.

Yankees are in trouble if they don't get their act together. Jeter needs to stop being so goddamn low key and non chalant about everything.

Yankee's Batting Order
1. Womack- uh great call Cashman..Cairo isn't looking so bad right now---call up Robinson from Triple A NOW.
2. Jeter-eghh...you won your rings last century..get over it
3. Sheffield-No complaints...though falling down after you swing isn't a good thing.
4. Matsui-we better re sign this fucker
5. A-Rod- will never be as good as the Texas A-rod(if your gonna swing..don't quit haveway thru)
6. Gimabi- ugggh...there's nothing to say..the infield shift says it all.
7. Posada- man those innings are starting to catch up...
8. Tino--I ain't saying anything bad about Big T
9. Bernie-sad to see em going downhill at the end of a career.

Johnson,Pavano,Rivera should be fine...Moose is hit or miss...he's either starting slow again or its beginning to show. Wright sucks.KBrown sucks dogshit.
Stanton was great...in 1999.
Flash Gordon...ughhh so bad...so bad...go throw-up some more why don't ya.
Quantill--wasn't this guy supposed to be good?
Karsay--Where the [censored] you been the last two years?

We'll make the playoffs though unless everything goes perfectly or Boston chokes...I hate to say it..it will most likely be as the wild card.

The only good thing is that we'll end up like all the other wild cards and run hot at the right time..beat the [censored] out of Boston(CAN YOU SAY FLUKE!!!!!) and win the WS in 7 games with Rivera getting his last save.

Go Yankees

The inning was. It tied a major league record for runs scored in a second inning.

You know who holds the MLB record for career home runs by a player with the last initial Q?

Hint: it doesn't matter.

I always argued for them to sign Lowe given that he won the games that mattered in the PS. Thats what we need. the yanks with their huge salary of players will always make the playoffs.
I'de have loved a Johnson/Pavano/Leiber/Moose/Lowe line-up in a 7 game series.

Can someone just get KBrown drunk, steal his passport and ship him across the border(or trade him for a 6 pack of sam adams).

And the last time they won a game 19-8, they went into a bit of a slump. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Jaret Wright's allowed 35 baserunners in 14-1/3 innings of work.

Fragile psyche. He hasn't "always" won the games that mattered. See ALDS 2003, Game 1. There's a reason that he was converted to a starter, and it had nothing to do with the fact that he only sports 2 usable pitches.

At some point, the Yankees will have to start worrying about making the playoffs. Right now, they're looking a lot like the Red Sox of yesteryear. All bat, no pitching.
