View Full Version : 67 Straight
I recently had an aweful run at a few different blackjack tables...I lost 67 straight hands, curious as to what are the ods of this happening? on another note I play pretty close to perfect basic strategy with the exception of splitting 8's against a face

With very few givens in your example, I'll throw some in to get to a solution:
Let's say that, on any given hand of BJ, you have a 60% probability of losing the hand. Just a ballpark figure. That would mean the probability of losing 67 in a row is:
p=0.60^67. As you might guess, this produces a very small number.
Take the inverse of this number, and you get the odds of it happening, or roughly 731 trillion to one. Tough break.
If the dealer was an asian female, odds are approximately 1:3
