Maybe ive been playing to many MTTs but was this a good time to play so passive? I probably should have bet the turn to try and get rid of the flush draw, but i didn't want to build a big pot, and was going to fold if the draw came.

Well your 5 handed into the flop that brings two 5's. It's very likely someone hit trips so you are way behind.

The most likely suspect to have a 5 other than the BB is a completing SB. SB leads out with a bet... What in the world would he lead out with? In most cases a 5 trying to build a pot with the people who it their top pair aces.

I think your line is fine, you played it cheaply. You don't want a big pot that could cripple you this early. It's so unlikely he is on a straight draw on the turn. Your not worried about two pair. He's either got trips or an ace you will outkick.

You either win or lose a small pot. that's fine in this situation.

I want to muck this because your calling 5 handed, but if you're going to call I am only playing it for top 2 or maybe a flush draw. Get away from it, fast.
