I don't give CO any credit for a 9, although he sure likes whatever pair he has.

MP1 might have it, but I would have expected aggression out of him on the turn.

MP1's aggression on the river would take me a bit by surprise, but he's been calling all the way even when 3 9's came out.

I think calling on the river is fine... you've got the 3rd nut hand but the new aggression + CO's willingness to cap it on the turn might pacify me a bit.

I play this the exact same way. Third-nut hand playing against fishies, go hard, and if one of them fell into a 9 or AA then so be it. From his stats, CO would play 99(maybe)/TT/JJ/QQ/KK/AA/AK/AQs(maybe) like this, and MP1 is probably of the play-any-suited-two-preflop-especially-if-one-of-them-is-an-ace ilk.

I put MP1 on A7s in one of the flop suits, and CO on AK, dunno if it's suited. What'd they have?

Grunching.

Ouch, tough river. I think up the river is very standard, but now you've gotta wonder if the guy that's been doing the cold-calling is donking a 9.

With the third-nuts, I think you gotta call this even if there's a decent chance it'll be capped behind you. It's quite likely that you're beating CO, and MP1 could be getting frisky with a 7 or middling overpair here.

I like it. CO's flop call of your 3 bet tells me there's no 9 there. The turn tells me that he has a pocket pair, nothing more, maybe a 3. MP1 has a 7 and wakes up on the river.

Nice hand.

You have way too much action, in my opinion. Tone it down n the turn.

I can't see folding anywhere here, since you are only behind AA/9x. CO could have AA-TT and MP1 could have any pocket pair. I would get worried if either had a really low aggression factor though.

I didn’t give credit for a 9 either, especially after the flop. The call on the flop hinted that the CO was beaten at that point but the cap on the turn told me he guessed I didn’t have the 9 either and opened up the possibility of AA, but hoping for QQ. I applied the breaks on the river (perhaps a little too late), but was dragged kicking and screaming to the end. Absolutely cannot fold the river with the pot that large.

Results in white below:
CO had AA
MP1 had 77
He got real excited when he hit his set (heeere fishy-fishy)

"he got real exited..."

Heh, you mean you can't use 6 cards? Times like that make you wish you could kick people in the teeth over tcp/ip, yes?

i agree. no agg factor or sample size, but CO's 62%/6.6 seems LP, which, in 1/2, wouldn't normally go rabid at every opportunity with a hand you beat (though it's possible he has TT/JJ/QQ). I call down after CO raises the turn.

MP1 betting/3-betting the river also seems like a he's:

1. a fool thinking a paired 7 is good
2. laughing his ass off on the turn when made quads and let you guys play at one another.
3. oddly playing a good pocket pair?

I think you overplayed your hand here.

Looks like what I'd be doing, can't imagine someone would stay in that hand with a 9 preflop, and AA is a possibility but I'd bet that they aren't giving you credit for KK. There's really only 2 hands I can see that will beat you, and the odds of them being out there are small enough that I think you should be good most of the time here.

Don't know what the other two are doing anyways, capping the turn but not the flop? It's like they gave you credit for trips, then decided you didn't have quads.
