Bankroll and MTTs

Wasn't sure where to post this but its mostly a bankroll question so I went for here.

I mostly play ring games but I enjoy the odd MTT for the excitement and chance of a big payday. I'm a winning play at both but I'm never sure which level of MTT to buy in for. I play NL .5/$1 with 10 buy ins (so $1000) basically. What buy in should I consider for tournaments?

I play same limits, same bankroll, and the occasional MTT for same reasons. I buy in at 2 + 0.25 pounds at Interpoker, that's the smallest they have and about a 5$ buyin. I've tried about 15 so far, and won one , good for 220$.

I'm basically just playing those things for fun. If i didn't even win a single one, it wouldn't have hurt my bankroll. 220$ isn't exactly a big payday, but it's still nice. At 0.50-1$ NL, i don't have that many days showing a 200$ profit.
