Villain is ridiculous. VPIP 90, PFR 35, aggro on all streets and just loves to see a showdown. He's made several plays with nothing, but also thinks value betting his A high on a 9TJQ board is a great idea. He really does love any A and will show it to you by raising it unimproved... a lot. Having said that, what do you think of my turn play?

How often have you seen him check/raise? Seems like this is a rare show of weakness and that he's got a lower PP to me. Without reads that he's tricky on top of ridiculaggro I'd bet the turn. (But I just started playing 6-max so I look forward to being taken to school by the vets responses.)

Call the 3bet and I would have raised the turn if the ace didn't come off. Calling down is fine given the turn card, but with the river I think its clearly bet and raise.

Why not a cap on the flop? We're only behind JJ and AA at this point.

I think ctv wants to call the flop 3 bet so we can get an extra .5BB out of him by raising a non-scary turn. When the A hits, it makes sense to call down from there, as we're either way ahead or way behind at that point. It's a decent line against most lags, however this guy was maniacal enough that perhaps he would lead the turn after I capped the flop.
