Not quite sure what I should have done at this point... I still have ample chips. It is likely that I'll win the put with a big bet, but if I am called I'm no better than a coin flip.

Typically I agree with 1C5. However, at this point in the tourney, and a little short-stacked, I think you may want to consider playing a little more aggressively: raising and then (assuming nobody reraises), firing a second barrel on the flop. The odds of the 6 hitting are so slim, I think cold-calling here might miss the chance to pick up a little extra cash. Calling also might entice the BB to raise just to shake the limpers off.

definitely depends on table dynamics.

if i think i can pick this up, then i go for it and push it in there..


otherwise i may just complete and hope to flop strong.
