Just had to post this, you get the dream player across from you, the maniac, had a 40% PFR% and a 95VPIP over about 50 hands. I played good and got sucked out lol

Trying for a CR on the turn is probably counterproductive. You are trying to get his money in the pot, but it might just scare him in to slowing down. Just bet out.

Edit to retract the recommendation to raise the river. I changed my mind. Bet-call is good.

Yea i honestly have no idea why i check raised that, maybe just trying to give him more reason to bluff at the pot since i knew he would bet no matter what he had, but yea should of just bet out.

Are you sure you don't want to check-call that river, knowing that he's going to bet basically anything and it now only takes one card to beat you? Is he really going to raise a double-paired board into that much aggression without having the goods? Even against a maniac, the double-paired broadway board is not very pleasant to look at holding a straight.

Against any sane player I would, but this guy was capping rivers with AT and reraising with 36 unimproved, it was that nuts.
