With the RR preflop from him and then the check raise after the flop, I was expecting AA (however unlikely), KK, QQ, JJ, maybe AKs. Was this a bad read? What would you have put him on? Critisicms on my play. I decided that super aggressivness was need post-flop because of the pre-flop. Correct?

This is read dependent of course(barely), but I think this play is fine(minus the river and turn call). You have an overpair to a flop that basically has no chance of hitting an even remotely sane pre-flop player. Unless he was a total rock who would only play like this with AA or KK(and you would need a very very solid read) I would keep firing even on the river. He may have KK, but he could have QQ JJ AK. The latter are much more likely. Oh , and did you have any read on this guy? If very laggy, he could have any decent pocket pair really... Bottom line, I would've kept firing and never stopped.

hi
based on the preflop action i cap the turn...if he bets into you again on the river, i could see calling the river.

Well, he had 55 can you believe it? That was the last thing I expected based on preflop. Oh well, I've been playing with him for the past couple hrs now and he's back down.
